About

Twenty years of practice, two countries, one recurring question: what does light do to a place.

Olga Serova in the studio

Platno Art Studio, Novi Sad

I paint places and the way they change. My work is about the dialogue between space and human presence — how the perception of an environment shifts under varying light and weather, and how much colour is hidden inside a "grey" panel block or an overcast riverbank.

Alongside painting I run community projects: as director of Art Most and founder of Urban Sketchers Serbia, I use observational sketching as a social instrument — reportage that records the ordinary rhythm of a neighbourhood.
